Where is the 2016 Rockefeller Christmas tree coming from? It's coming from Upstate New York in Oneonta. 

Rockefeller Center revealed today that the 2016 Christmas tree will come from Oneonta, New York. According to NBC, the tree is a Norway Spruce, and it will will be cut on Thursday, November 10th and arrive at Rockefeller Center on Saturday, November 12th.

After being wrapped with more than 50,000 multi-colored, energy efficient LED lights and crowned with a Swarovski star, the tree will be lit during the live broadcast “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” on Wednesday, November 30. The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be on display through Saturday, January 7, 2017"

Typically, the center's trees are milled into lumber for Habitat for Humanity after they're taken down.
