If you could eat at one restaurant before you died, which one would would you choose, and what would you order? A website called Onlyinyourstate.com recently published a "Must Eat At" list  that included a handful of stately restaurants located in Central New York.

There are so many fantastic eating establishments in Central New York, that picking just a few favorites seems like an impossible task. However, Onlyinyourstate.com recently put together a list of "15 Restaurants You Have to Visit Before You Die."  3 of those restaurants are in Central New York.

1. Pastabilities (311 S. Franklin St. Syracuse, NY)

We've eaten here and tried the Lobster Ravioli Scampi. After one bite, we zoned in on our food and just wanted to be left alone.

When you hear the word "pasta," you're probably inclined to think boring ole spaghetti, however, that's why this restaurant is called "Pastabilities;" and the pastabilities are endless.  According to Onlyinyourstate.com:

If you're ready for a youthful upbeat vibe, Pastabilities will leave you speaking of not only its heavenly pasta, but also its amazing spicy tomato dipping sauce that you'll pair with fresh homemade bread!

Don't forget dessert at Pastabilities. They've got a unique and delicious one called "Pie in a Jar." If you like coconut, you'll love this one.

2. Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant (301 W Fayette St, Syracuse, NY)

Irish fare isn't just for St. Patricks Day. In fact, Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub has tasty food you can enjoy year round. We used to think Irish food was an acquired taste, but that changed last year when we paid them a visit on St. Patty's Day for an Irish Breakfast.

This traditional Irish pub is everything you're looking for. Bringing to you live Irish music and the most inviting atmosphere, this is a great place to relax after a long work day. If you're asking us, we'd suggest trying the delicious Shepherd's Pie!

Oh, we've been back for dinner 4 times since last St. Patty's Day.

3. Tailor & the Cook (94 Genesee St. Utica, NY)

We're so happy to see this one of a kind restaurant on the list. We thoroughly enjoyed the Crescent Farms Duck Pot Pie and the Roasted Beet Salad the last time we were there. Unbelievably, there's no need to RSVP; just show up, sit down, and enjoy!

The folks at OnlyinourState.com raved about Tailor and the Cook. Here's what they said:

There's nothing we love more than stepping inside a restaurant and finding that fresh and local food products are consciously being used throughout the establishment. With homemade bread baked right next door and an assortment of local cheeses being served, this farm to table restaurant is an absolute must.

Tailor & the Cook's menu incorporates ingredients from farms throughout Central New York, and you can taste the freshness!
