(Updated) Authorities say the death toll is now at four, including a 2-year-old child, after a car slammed through a crowd of fans at the annual Oklahoma State University homecoming parade on Saturday.

A 25-year-old woman, Adacia Chambers, is accused of driving under the influence, ESPN reported.

Stillwater police Capt. Kyle Gibbs said the woman's sedan struck an unoccupied motorcycle of an officer who was working security at the parade, then went into the crowd. She was taken into custody on a driving under the influence charge, Gibbs said.

Several of the injured had were flown from the scene in critical condition.

The incident occurred just hours before Oklahoma State's football team was set to host Kanas. School officials chose to play the game, and held a moment of silence for the victims prior to the contest. Oklahoma State won 58-10.
