40 Million Target Credit And Debit Cards Compromised During Massive Security Breach

Bad news for Target and Target shoppers who used their Target debit or credit card during the busiest shopping days of the year.  A massive credit and debit card breach has compromised up to 40 million Target customers.  According to CNN, the breach happened during the three weeks after Thanksgiving, when the holiday shopping season was in high gear.

Right now, it looks like only cards used in store not online were compromised.  The Secret Service is investigating the security breach and Target has issued a statement regarding the holiday breach.

Target's first priority is preserving the trust of our guests and we have moved swiftly to address this issue, so guests can shop with confidence.  We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
