Temperatures are rising in Central New York and the list of fun spring time date ideas keeps getting longer. Here are some options!

A dating app just analyzed  the most common places people go on first dates. The top five included Starbucks, Chipotle, Panera Bread, Cheesecake Factory, and Texas Roadhouse. We could feasibly choose one of these popular dining locations for a night out on the town, but how about we think a little outside the box and venture down a different road. Here are a few ideas to take a date this spring time!

Whitewater Rafting

Adirondack River Outfitters in Old Forge is opening for business on May 1st. If you and your special someone are seeking adventure and thrills, this is an excellent choice! I've never gone rafting, but I have gone tubing on the whitewater and it's a blast! The water's ice cold, but that makes for an even more adrenaline filled time. Hey, even if you never get a second date, he or she can't say it was because they were bored!

Comedy Club

Wise Guys Comedy Club is a sure fire hit for a fun night out! Wise Guys has top notch nationally known acts but they also have amateur nights. If you really want to impress your date, get up on stage and make her laugh!

Comedy Central CNY is alive and well. Your date will thank you after making her laugh so hard that she sprays her drink out her nose! This club features hilarious professional  comedy as well as their popular trivia nights!

Baseball

Syracuse Chiefs baseball is always a smart date idea. Enjoy a hot dog or two while you're enjoying the warm springtime air. Baseball's always fun to watch and it's laid back, slower pace will give you plenty of time to get to know the other person.

The Utica Brewers will be back in action before too long! Your date will appreciate your thoughtful gesture of buying him or her their favorite snack at the concession stand, and they'll thank you later for getting them out into the sunshine, and out of the stuffy coffee shop.

The Park

Chittenango State Park is a beautiful place to enjoy spring in Central New York. The majestic sights and sounds of waterfalls, crackling brush, and whistling birds, will have her singing a new song!

Pixley Falls in Booneville features mountain streams, an attractive 50 foot waterfall, and miles of trout streams! They also have a beautiful picnic area, so pack a lunch and spread a blanket!

Historic Sites

Impress your date with your vast history knowledge at one of Central New York's legendary landmarks,  Oriskany Battlefield. The Site has numerous amenities and plenty of interesting features that are sure to put a smile on your face!

Old Erie Canal historic site is an excellent place for hiking, biking, relaxing, or getting an education in Central New York history. There are over 36 miles of recreational trails for you to enjoy!
