The Motion Picture Association of America determined that the new "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie would be rated as R, and not the NC-17 many were hoping for.

For anyone who has ever read the books, or even heard about them, you know they are... well, pretty 'adult.' It was no surprise that the movie would be just as steamy. A push for the movie to be rated NC-17 (meaning you must be 17 to see the movie), fell through as the MPAA gave "Fifty Shades of Grey" an R-rating.

Not only did the MPAA give the movie the R-rating, but it also gave a very unique description of why it was rated R.USA Today reports,

The MPAA announced Wednesday that the film will receive the restricted rating for "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language."

Most of the description seems pretty straight-forward and normal. The only thing that seemed a little off was "some unusual behavior" - which is definitely not a common description for the rating of a movie.

What would you expect, though? If you know about the books, it would make sense to use the terms "some unusual behavior." How else could the MPAA explain it, without getting too dirty themselves?

The movie is set to hit theaters February 13, 2015 - just in time for Valentine's Day.
