Eat, drink, take in the sights, and enjoy the history of Cooperstown at the fifth annual 'Cooptoberfest," taking place right on Main Street in Cooperstown.

Well, a lot of the activities will take place on Main Street, but there are other events happening throughout the city...

When's the last time you spent some time in Cooperstown? When's the last time you walked the main drag, maybe stopped into one of the shops to check out the memorabilia on display, or gotten a bite to eat at one of the many fantastic restaurants? If it's been a while, this is the perfect excuse to come back. Even if it hasn't been a while, why not spend a fall Saturday in this Otsego County village?

Cooptoberfest happens Saturday, October 6th from 10am to 4pm and is being presented by Brewery Ommegang. According to the Facebook Event Page "Main Street Cooptoberfest," this celebration is going to have many vendors in the downtown area, bounce houses, games and live music, and even a cornhole tournament.

And a special part of Cooptoberfest is going to be "Eat Drink Cooperstown." This is a somewhat-separate event (you'll need to purchase tickets for it), that allows you to sample a bunch of different craft beers from the area, wines, harder drinks from local distilleries, and of course, your chance to sample delicious food from restaurants throughout Cooperstown. You can get more details on "Eat Drink Cooperstown," including ticket prices by visiting the "Main Street Cooptoberfest" Facebook Event Page.

Cooperstown may be famous for the Baseball Hall of Fame, but the area is SO much more than that. Between all the amazing restaurants, the fantastic shops, distilleries, coffee shops, view points, and everything else... It really is worth exploring, time and time again. It's no wonder why it's been named one of the best small towns in our country.
