98 Seconds: Central New York Burgers You Need to Make Room For

There are plenty of places to get a good burger in Central New York, no doubt about that. But we found four places with four unique burgers we think you should definitely try.

Who doesn't like a good, juicy burger?! Luckily, you've got TONS of options across Central New York from a classic chain favorite like Five Guys in New Hartford to a unique Bourbon Burger from the Delta Lake Inn in Rome, and even a diner-style burger from a place like Crazy Otto's in Herkimer. Out of the many, MANY places to choose from, I found a few that have become favorites for me, and wanted to share them with you in this week's "98 Seconds with Naomi Lynn" video. I'm sure you'll appreciate them if you're a huge burger-lover like me.

Alright, the first burger in the video (at the top of this page), is the Bavarian Pretzel Burger from the Copper Moose Ale House. This delicious burger comes with beer cheese, caramelized onions, smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, and ground mustard, and it is exquisite. Actually the Copper Moose in Little falls has quite a few amazing burgers that you can see on their menu, or if you follow them on Facebook, you'll see that Thursday nights are "Stacked Burger Nights," where they offer a unique creation just for the day.

The second burger in the video (above) is a Central New York favorite, especially as we get into the middle of spring, early summer, and start thinking about the Boilermaker Road Race. Yep, I'm talking about the Boilermaker Burger from Carmella's Cafe in New Hartford. This guy comes with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions, bacon, onion petals, AND two different kinds of sauces. You may not see it on the menu, but if you ask your server they can probably make it up for you.

There aren't enough words for the third burger on this list. The burger is actually from a food challenge that you can take on at Mr. G's inside Vernon Downs Casino. It's called "Mr. G's Big Bet Burger Challenge," and it's no joke. Seriously, you got to see the photo of it in the video at the top of this page - The massive thing is as big as my head! The burger is a one-pound-patty, topped with eight strips of bacon, six onion rings, two fried eggs, four slices of cheese, two pieces of lettuce, four slices of tomato, two slices of onion, AND two pickle spears. Oh, and if you take on this challenge, you'll also have to finish a boat-load of fries and a milkshake in 30 minutes. Or, you can just go to enjoy this enormous burger... Either way.

The last burger in the video can be found at Jamo's Restaurant and Bar. It's called the Herkimer General Burger and it comes loaded with bacon, and all your favorite toppings, but you also get macaroni and cheese - Right on the burger. And it's fantastic. If you haven't been to Jamo's yet, you'll find them at 123 Mohawk Street in Herkimer.

Whether you're looking for a gigantic burger that will leave you full for days, a burger overflowing with toppings, or even a burger that blends some unique flavors together, you're sure to find exactly what you're looking for in our area.
