Hey guys, if you don't want to strike out on Valentine's Day, you may want to stay away from these bad gifts that some of our staff have actually received.

Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away. In this week's "98 Seconds" video, Naomi Lynn talks with her coworkers about some of the worst gifts they've ever gotten. Now, the video is not to shame the gift-givers out there, but more of a precaution of things to stay away from when you're doing your Valentine's Day shopping.

We even talked to one guy about the worst gift he's ever given for Valentine's Day. He thought it was a creative, good idea, but it completely back-fired on him. See, he really liked video games, but his girlfriend didn't. He thought he could get her a video game that they could both play together, and it would be a win-win. Let's just say it wasn't. Guys, if your significant other says they don't like something, just don't get it. Plain and simple.

Watch the video at the top of the page to see the staff member's responses to the bad gifts they've received. Luckily, they didn't get any gifts that were too bad, but a few were definitely not thoughtful.

Still not sure what to do for Valentine's Day? Well, here are a few more gifts you should stay away from:

- Gym memberships (unless it was specifically asked for)
- Pots and pans
- Vacuum cleaner
- Anything picked up in a rush from the convenience store
- Fast food

So what should you do?

Be thoughtful. It's that simple. You know your significant other, you know what they like and what they don't like. It doesn't have to be crazy romantic or ridiculously expensive, just put a little thought into it. Her favorite flowers, her favorite candy bar, and a card with a personal, heartfelt message inside will mean a lot more than you think.

And we want to hear from you. What's the worst gift you've ever gotten on Valentine's Day? Or the worst gift you've ever given? You can tell your story in the "comments section" at the bottom of this page.
