Who knew a potato could be so useful? Well, now there's a new thing people are using potatoes for and it's pretty... odd.

In the latest "98 Seconds with Naomi Lynn" she explains a story she saw on Facebook that she just couldn't believe. People are doing something new with potatoes that's just ridiculous. At first she thought it was a joke - "There is no way people are actually paying to do this." But come to find out, they are.

An online company will now allow you to send potatoes in the mail. That's right, you can send a message or a picture to someone on a potato, and it will be delivered to their mailbox. Why would anyone ever want to do this? Well, apparently there are a lot of reasons - which Naomi learned while reading the reviews on their website.

First it was the "glitter bombs" - Where you would pay a company to send a letter filled with glitter (usually to someone you didn't like), so when they opened the letter glitter would go everywhere (and we're not talking about a little bit of glitter - This made a HUGE mess). Now, it's a potato.

We're wondering who thought, "Man, if only I could send this message in a different way. I know! I'll use a potato!"

Whether you think this would be a funny prank, or you're wondering why anyone would do such a thing, people are doing it. Either way, you can see more about this potato-sending company "Potato Parcel" and read reviews of people who actually used the service, on their website here.

Oh, and here's the kicker - The 25-year-old who started the company makes about $10,000 a month sending the potatoes.
