98 Seconds: Trying the Best Flavor of Saranac Soda

We asked, you voted, and we found what Saranac soda Central New Yorkers say is the absolute best. Unfortunately, Naomi Lynn had never tried that flavor before...

So that's what this week's "98 Seconds with Naomi Lynn" video is all about.

We're going to take a little trip down memory lane (or you can just watch the video at the top of this page). Back on September 6th, I asked you "Which Saranac soda is the all-time best flavor" and set up a poll so you could vote for your favorite. I did this, after a long debate with my fiance who says Saranac's root beer is their best soda. Now, I know Saranac's root beer is their most "well-known" flavor, but does everyone actually think it's the best?? I think their black cherry cream is unbelievable, and I wanted to see if others felt that way, too.

I left the voting open for about a week so everyone would have plenty of time to cast their votes. And it looks like Central New Yorkers didn't agree with me - black cherry cream soda was pretty low on the voting results... But root beer didn't win either.

The winner was Saranac's Shirley Temple soda. Honestly, I had never given a thought to this flavor of Saranac. But if it was voted the best, it's something I need to try, right??

So that's what I did for this week's "98 Seconds" video. I bought myself a bottle of Saranac Shirley Temple Soda, and did a little taste-test.
