A California woman gave birth to a 15 pound baby boy.

A bouncing new baby boy? Make that a really big bouncing new baby boy for a mom in California, who last Thursday gave birth a to 15 pound boy.Andrew Jacob Cervantez measured two feet long and weighed 15 pounds, 2 ounces when he was born last week. His 28 year old Mom Vanessa didn't believe the doctors at first and thought the hospital scale was broken.

Big babies is nothing new for this mom, whose first son weighed 10 pounds, 10 ounces and whose daughter weighed 9 pounds, 14 ounces.

Andrew, who was born via emergency C-section, is still in the neonatal unit at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital.

While he may be the biggest newborn in California, he doesn't break the Guinness World Record set back in 1879. A Canadian baby was born weighing 23 pounds, 12 ounces. That's what toddlers weigh! Can you imagine that?

We wish Andrew well and hope he gets home to his big brother and sister soon.
