Map Shows Adirondack Rail Bike Riders Came From All Across America
The Adirondack Rail Bikes, which run along little-used track between Lake Clear and Saranac Lake in northern New York, attracted riders from all across America and even internationally.
According to the map, the vast majority of riders came, not surprising from New York and the northeast but from across the United States and international visitors from Canada, England, Germany, Israel and Australia.
The Adirondack Rail Bikes may be a one-season-and-done between Lake Clear and Saranac Lake as the state is weighing a decision to tear up the tracks north of Tupper Lake and convert the corridor to a hiking and skiing trail.
