Are you tired of the hot weather? Get into that 'fall-feeling' with a haunted excursion aboard the Adirondack Scenic Railroad.

If you're one of those people who loves everything fall, then you'll enjoy this special evening on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. The first trip for their haunted excursion is coming up this Saturday (July 21st), so you don't have to wait until the cooler weather to get into the fall spirit. Of course, there are other dates scheduled if you can't make it this Saturday.

Alright, so you're probably wondering about this excursion - Where you go, what you'll experience - All that. So first of all, you'll have to take the trip up to the Old Forge area to board this train. It will leave from the Thendara Station and head to Carter Station. According to the Adirondack Scenic Railroad,

[You'll] Hear the tales of murder and crimes that left their ghostly imprints in our history. Disembark the train and follow our guides on a walking trail into the forest for a thrill tour like no other...

The whole excursion is about two-hours long, and they do mention that this isn't a "jump-out-and-scare-you" type event, especially when you're off the train, walking in the woods. Although there will be members of the Players of Utica, helping you get into that "spooky spirit."

Tickets are still available for this Saturday's Haunted History Excursion and cost $25 per person. If you can't make it to this one, the Adirondack Scenic Railroad has four other excursions scheduled:

Sat. August 18th
Sat. September 1st
Sat. September 22nd
Sat. October 13th

The train departs at 8:30pm (with boarding at 8pm) for this Saturday's trip, the one in August, and the first one in September. On September 22nd and October 13th, the train will depart at 7pm (with boarding at 6:30pm).
