Cats & kittens over 4 months - $90.00*

    Includes spay/neuter, FELV/FIV test, first shots, worming, and flea control treatment.

Kittens (4 months and younger) - $100.00*

    Includes spay/neuter, first shots, boosters (if still in shelter after 21 days), worming, and flea control treatment.

Dogs & puppies over 4 months - $135.00*

    Includes spay/neuter, Heartworm test (puppies must be 6 months old), first shots, rabies shot, worming, and flea control treatment. City of Rome residents also must pay a license fee of $15/$25 depending on whether the dog is altered.

Puppies (4 months and younger) - $150.00*

    Includes spay/neuter, Heartworm test, first shots, rabies shot, worming, and flea control treatment. City of Rome residents also must pay a license fee of $25.

A pet starter kit also comes with the adoption.

* If the animal is not spayed, a $35.00 refundable deposit as per NYS Spay/Neuter Law will be collected at the time of adoption.

Senior/AARP Discounts:  Seniors (65+) and AARP members get a 20% discount on all animals adopted that are at least one (1) year or older.

Seniors (65+) and AARP members get a 50% discount on all animals adopted that are seven (7) years or older.

Other Discounts:

Our adoption donation has been reduced for long-term cats and dogs that have been at the shelter over six (6) months.

Some of our animals have had a portion of their adoption donation pre-paid by donors. Signs will indicate which animals have been reduced.
