A co-pilot for Southwest Airlines has been arrested after the TSA found a loaded handgun in his carry-on bag.  A transportation Security Administration officer spotted the .380 caliber gun when the pilot's bag went through an X-ray machine.  The agency says there were six bullets in the gun at the time.

Albany County Sherriff's deputies were called in, and the pilot was taken into custody.  He has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

The Times Union reports that the Southwest plane was headed for Chicago's Midway Airport.  The flight was delayed for about four hours.  The identity of the pilot has not been released.
