Could a Casino Resort Open in Albany? What is Project E23?
There is an effort underway to open a casino in New York's capitol city. Called Project E23, the resort is invisioned to contain a casino, hotel, water park and equestrian center.
The Project E23 website was recently launched and details plans for the casino which would be on the south side of Albany near where The New York State Thruway (Interstate 87), Interstate 787 and US Route 9W come together. That location is where Project E23 gets its name - development around Thurway Exit 23.
The casino proposal is backed by Capitol OTB.
