The American Cancer Society is hosting their 'Bark For Life' on August 6th in Forestport, NY. It's a great way to help fight cancer with your best friend at your side.

Dogs are the unnoticed caregivers who give a special kind of support for cancer patients. Bark For Life is a quarter-mile and one-mile non-competitive walk on a preplanned route from 9 am to Noon starting at KevAnna's on Route 28.

There will be games, contests, giveaways, raffles, vendors, and so much more before and after the walk, including a pet/owner look-a-like contest, doggie push-ups, and the fastest retrieve contest. There will also be a demonstration from the Oneida County Sherriff's Department K-9 Unit.

Registration begins at 9 am and the walk starts at 10 am. Pre-registration is $15 online or $20 on site the day of the event.

For more information about Bark For Life, call 1-800-227-2345 or visit relayforlife.org.
