‘American Idol’ to Return January 2012 for New Season
November 28, 2011 9:07 AM Chris Daughtry says “American Idol” has gone soft. “I think last season everyone was being a little too fluffy with their comments. I really felt like they were too nice overall. Criticism is a welcome thing and I think it was necessary for me to grow. Sometimes you have got to get to the truth.” Will the judges get tougher next year?
Well, we don’t have long to wait for the new season, American Idol’ will return to FOX in January 2012.
Though it may seem like Season 10 just ended, it’s already time for a fresh batch of hopefuls. FOX has been pimping a new line-up with a heartwarming promo commercial, which engulfs the sense of unity that ‘Idol’ contestants, and viewers, get when they watch the show.
In the clip, several newbies comment on how “life changing” the experience is, and how nervous and excited they are to be there, while the ad reminds us that they’re battling thousands for one crown. From what we can tell, there will be lots of tears, fresh faces, our favorite judges Randy, J-Lo and Steven Tyler and of course, screaming — even some kissing!
Good thing we asked for a new season of ‘American Idol’ on our Christmas lists!
