Police in Ashland, Ohio have charged an Amish man for driving left of the center line while engaging in a horse and buggy race while on his way to church last Sunday afternoon.

According to the report, Jacob Reber was racing another horse and buggy on his was to church when he crossed the center line while trying to pass the other buggy. He then hit an on coming car in the opposite lane. Raber suffered some scratches and cuts in the accident. The motorist and his 3 passengers were unharmed.

It should be noted that police have busted carriage drivers for reckless riding before. Last year in Leon, N.Y. a 17 year old Amish boy was charged with underage possession of alcohol and overdriving an animal. He also led police on a low speed chase in his buggy.
