Several area school districts are taking part in a New York Food Day on Thursday.  They'll be serving food grown or produced here in Upstate New York State.

Among the schools participating are New York Mills, Clinton, Westmoreland, Oriskany,  Remsen and Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES.  According to romesentinel.com, the menu served at the schools on Thursday includes garlic chicken sausage and hot dogs made by Smith Packing Company of Utica, cucumber and tomato salad from Bridgewater Farms, apples grown in New York, milk from Byrne Dairy, and yogurt from Chobani of New Berlin.
