Keith James

I'm a nomadic Ohio native who has called CNY home since 1991. Although a musician and teacher by trade, it's by complete chance that I'm even behind a radio microphone! I live in New Hartford with an amazing woman and 5 wonderful kids. Nothing engages me like a good conversation or new idea and I love winging life in the moment. When the curve balls fly though, there's no cure like retail therapy, a haircut, driving with the windows down or walking around barefoot! When I'm not on the air, some of my hobbies are: Flying Airplanes, Piano / Singing, Texas Hold-em, Competitive Pool, Skating and Movie Nights

Lip-syncing, Ethics Issue Or Necessity? [VIDEO]

“Girl you know it's… girl you know it's… girl you know it's… girl you know it's…” Those words (when followed by ‘true’) spelled a Grammy and a handful of AMA’s for Milli Vanilli as they skyrocketed to the top, but no sooner did they hit their apex than those very words spelled their demise when they’re backing track skipped like crazy.

They weren’t the first to incorporate lip-syncing into their live performances and were definitely nowhere near the last, many losing their careers in the process.  So, why do it at all if it’s so risky?  Is it an ethical blunder or a classic example of expectation versus result?

Debate: The U.S. Penny… Obsolete?

Many of us when breaking a dollar end up discarding our spare change into a jar at home and forgetting about it, or generously plunking it into the many charity drop-boxes including that iconic red Salvation Army kettle.  But out of all of the coins that have been circulating for centuries, is Benjamin Franklin's penny actually ready for retirement?

Summer War – Crocs vs. Flip Flops!

Now that summer is in full swing, not a pair of Uggs or a Northface to be seen, in fact there's not a whole lot of clothing at all to be seen around the area on these 90 degree days, but the question is what to wear on our feet while we go about our summer activities...
