It’s a well know business mantra, that you go where the people or money are, and cyber criminals are doing just that. They’re following innocent victims away from their email and computers, and going to smart phones and mobile devices.
One of my favorite TV shows is Star Wars: Clone Wars on Cartoon Network. I watch it for many reasons. The animation, the stories and just to relive being a kid. A recent announcement about the show has made me now go “fanboy” over the show, and my fiance’ may reconsider marrying me for her own sanity.

For some time now, the engineers who run the internet have been saying that we are running out of IP addresses. IP addresses are how computers are identified on the internet and we are able to go to webpages. This past week, the last of the addresses ran out. What are we going to do now?

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to just disappear? Drop off the face of the Earth? Vanish without a trace? We've seen it in thriller and spy movies, even heard about some folks trying to get away with it in the news. Well the Discovery Channel wants to try and do it now.
I saw that a coworker posted an article, on one of our sister stations, about an app on the iTunes store that lets you dial with your nose. Yeah, while I commend the app's creator for being smart and trying to solve a problem, he has opened up others. Like a messy touch screen. Eww. Here's an alternative.
I'm sure many of us have had great years despite the economy and other factors. And some like me, have had a rough 2010. But the start of a new year gives all of us, no matter who we are, a new start to make things better not only for ourselves and our families, but others we know only in passing and even total strangers.
The National Weather Service has been been keeping a watch on our Sun as it starts to move into a phase of increased activity called Solar Max. The sun will throw off more stellar matter and radiation which is what causes the Northern Lights when it hits the magnetic field that surrounds the Earth.
