The 2 baby bald eagles in Washington D.C. are making national news.  They have been given the names of Freedom and Liberty.

Right here in Marcy, NY, there is a huge nest with 2 adult eagles and 3 young babies.   The site has become a tourist attraction as of late.  But those visiting that area are asked to be respectful of the property as well as the eagles themselves.

The tree housing the large eagle's nest is located in a small ravine, making the nest almost eye-level from where onlookers stand.  The adult eagles can be seen coming and going from the nest, feeding the mouths of their young.

Maybe we can think of names for our own area baby eagles.
