Spring baby fever is in the air at the Syracuse Zoo. The local elephant Mali gave birth to a 281-pound calf. Imagine that labor pain. 

According to Syracuse.com, the calf as born at 3:58AM (5/12). Mali started going into labor on Mother's Day, and was in labor for only four hours. The calf is is 36.1 inches tall, that's just over 3 feet.

The zoo also has a second pregnant elephant named Kirina. She is due sometime later this summer.
