Beautiful Nature Trail Is Wide Open In Rome, New York

Maybe because it is relatively new and not a lot of people know about it, the beautiful Griffiss International Sculpture Garden and Nature Trail does not yet see a lot of activity.

Most of the walkways are paved, the lawns are very well manicured, and the scenery is sprinkled with very modern sculptures.

You'll also find picnic tables under the shade of a tree, and several benches placed along the walking route.

The park is easy to find.  Once you take the Griffiss International Airport exit off Route 49, you only need to travel less than one mile.  You'll pass the Windham Wingate Hotel, Rome Free Academy, and then take the first exit off the rotary.  Within a short distance, you'll find Nature Trail parking on your right.

The park is certainly worth checking out.  A lot of money has gone into building and maintaining this area, and it's a great place to enjoy some nature and fresh air.
