Benny Mardones’s Grandson Fin Goes Through Last Day Of Chemo

Benny Mardones shared the good news this afternoon on his Facebook Page. He was proud to say his Grandson Fin was going through his final day of Chemo therapy very strong.

Finn is a very energetic, caring, and tough soon to be 5 year old. Fin's battle with cancer is being recorded online through a blog site called CaringBridge run by his parents. Here's what the post said for October 8th:

Day #44

Last day of chemo!!!!! Now he just has to recover and we're outta here!!

Superman and Spider-Man were here washing all the hospital windows when we got here. Pretty cool.

So we'll be really good about drinking water and eating magic applesauce and hope this last chemo doesn't cause the problems he had previously from it (we are doing full dose today). He has done so well this time around. I really believe he'll be fine.

Palo Alto and Stanford will always have a special place in my heart....and all the people we met on our path to get here....and all the people who cared for us here! And all of you who supported us and made the journey so much easier!! XOXO

I always appreciated my family everyday....but now it's just even more. I'm so happy we get to stay all together and be healthy again! Couldn't imagine life without any one of them....especially Finn. Thank you Stanford for saving my son! "
