Best Burger Chain in the Country Right Here in CNY

If you're looking for the best burger among all the burger chains, look no further than your own backyard.

The Harris Poll has announced its Burger Brand of The Year, and it's Five Guys Burgers and Fries. The Harris Poll surveyed over 77,000 consumers about 17 different burger chains. For the second year in a row, Five Guys took the top honor, beating 'In n' Out Burger' for the top honor.

The Virginia-based burger chain has locations in Utica, New Hartford, and DeWitt. 

The first Five Guys restaurant opened in 1986 in Arlington, Virginia by 4 (eventually 5) brothers. Since their first restaurant, the company has grown to almost 1,500 locations worldwide with another 1,500 units in development. Five Guys uses only peanut oil for their food (so beware if you have allergies) and only uses fresh ground beef for their burgers.

If burgers aren't your thing, you can get a hot dog, too. They even offer shakes - and they're pretty darn good. Of course, Five Guys is also famous for their freshly cut french fries which they deliver in servings that you'll have to share.
