If you're heading north from the Utica or Rome area, you may want to make your way to this pizzeria about 20 minutes outside of Lowville.

The good people at New York Upstate have created a list: "62 pizza shops you should visit in New York, 1 for each county." We've taken a look at some of those pizza places throughout Central New York to see what pizzerias we need to visit in our area. Because, let's be honest, I'm not worried about what pizza place has been named "the best" in Erie County or Chautauqua County, or even Steuben or Wyoming County. I'm just interested in the ones I would consider driving to to try.

We've already taken a look at the best pizza places in Oneida County, Onondaga County, Madison County, and Herkimer County. Now, we want to see what New York Upstate named the best for Lewis County...

According to the article from New York Upstate, The Brick Oven Inn in Beaver Falls is the best place to get pizza in all of Lewis County. The Brick Oven Inn is a cute, little establishment, that looks like an old-fashioned inn that has been nicely updated. New York Upstate says,

...they make a pizza here that would be worthy of any Little Italy in any major city.

With a statement like that, it's GOT to be good, right??

I stalked out The Brick Oven Inn's website, and all those photos of pizza... Well, now I'm starving! But it's not just pizza - This place also offers calzones and wings, and even burgers and sandwiches.

If you're thinking of trying The Brick Oven Inn, we suggest you go on Wednesday during their lunch buffet (11am - 1:30pm), that way you can sample a little bit of everything. The lunch buffet features stuffed shells, meatballs, cold cuts for sandwiches, pizza, breadsticks, soup, and salad... And it costs $10 per person. Sounds good, I know.

You can see the full menu and learn more about The Brick Oven Inn by visiting their website: TheBrickOvenInn.org
