Sometimes you're just in the mood for a sandwich with all the extras. You know, loaded with tomato, lettuce, maybe some pickles... Well, this amazing restaurant in New Hartford has you covered.

Welcome to O'Baby's, the "Gourmet Sandwich Shoppe." And they're not kidding around when they say that. I've never had a sandwich as filling, and as flavorful as the one I tried at O'Baby's.

A friend of Luke and I actually told us about the place and we added it to our list of "things to check out (when we eventually get around to it)." I'm a little bummed we waited though, we should have gone the second we heard about it. And that's why I'm telling you about it. Don't add it to "a list." The next time you want a great sandwich, try them.

Sandwich from O'Baby's is Definitely a Handful

First, let me explain the sandwich in the picture above. Yes, that's called a sandwich even though it's got enough meats, cheeses, and extras to be considered four sandwiches (you may want to order the "baby size," instead of the "full" which is what's in the picture). This enormous guy is the "The 6-Second Ride," and it's packed with lettuce, tomato, hot cherry peppers, onion, Cajun mayo, Hickory bacon, cheddar cheese, and turkey. Can I just say, I need to know what O'Baby's puts in their "Cajun mayo," because that stuff is addicting.

If you're looking for just a regular sandwich without all the extras, O'Baby's has that too. They have 15 different types of sandwiches like the grilled chicken club, the cold roast pork, or the chicken parmigianna. But they also have their specialty sandwiches, which is another 13 sandwiches to pick from, but these ones are cleverly named and cleverly put together with unique flavor combinations. If you're in the mood for chicken, try their "Flaming Minotaur," with lettuce, tomato, onion, Cajun mayo, Hickory bacon, melted smoked Gouda cheese, and hand breaded chicken. Or if you're really, REALLY hungry, I suggest the "All American," stacked high with Hickory bacon, chicken breast, turkey, ham, American cheese, and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, hot cherry peppers, mayo, and mustard. Sounds absolutely amazing, right?!

I could go on and on about how great this place is from the food to the decor, to the outstanding customer service, but I think you should just go see it and try it for yourself. Oh, and if you want something other than a sandwich, they have other options like lasagna, chicken riggies, wings, and of course pizza. Did we mention they have specialty pizzas that are pretty unique just like their sandwiches?? No? Okay, well you'll have to check out their menu and see all those as well because it's quite a list.

You can get O'Baby's full menu and keep updated with specials and everything they have going on at their restaurant by visiting the O'Baby's Gourmet Sandwich Shoppe's Facebook Page.
