Beyoncé and JAY-Z's twins were born premature and "under the lights," according to a source connected with the family.

TMZ reports that Beyoncé did not go full term, and she is still in the hospital. It was also reported that the twins were born a week ago with a "minor issue"— this issue could have been the cause that led them to be placed "under the lights."

While the source did not go into detail about the twins health, them being placed under the lights could mean they have jaundice which is common among preemies and in most cases not dangerous. JAY-Z  was spotted on Monday (June 19) arriving at the Ronald Regan Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Grandfather Matthew Knowles made the official announcement on Sunday (June 18) of the twins arrival on his Instagram page with the caption, "Two more grandkids to love." Since then fans have been waiting for Beyoncé to announce the news herself.
