Anyone who enjoys the music on Lite 98.7 in the Mohawk Valley can get an up-close and personal look and listen to some of their favorite artists live, and free of charge, this August and September at the New York State Fair.

We recently covered the various ways you can save big bucks at the Fair on special advance tickets for admission, food, and rides through Etix. The savings continue through the many free shows at the Fair's Chevy Court stage.

The Chevy Court shows have become so popular, they eclipse paid concert events in in attendance. Approximately 35,000 attended a Bruno Mars shows in 2011. Another 36,000+ saw the Steve Miller Band in 2015.

Here are a few of this year's shows that could be huge:

The rock band from Mississippi had two top ten hits with "Kryptonite" and "Here Without You." Their show is Wednesday, August 23rd at 8:00 pm.

She had top ten hits with "Tell it to My Heart" and "Love Will Lead You Back." Her performance will be Wednesday, August 30th at 2:00 pm.

Their big hits "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" and "Two Princes" both were top 20 hits. This free show is Sunday, September 3rd at 2:00 pm.

The British pop and reggae band scored two #1 hits with "Red Red Wine" and "Can't Help Falling in Love." They play Monday, September 4th at 1:00 pm.

Other notable acts you can catch for free this year include Kansas, the Marshall Tucker Band, and Earth Wind & Fire. The full schedule of Chevy Court shows at the 2017 Great New York State Fair is available here.
