Boilermaker Backs Bagram Run

While 14,000 runners are taking part in the Utica Boilermaker on July 14th, another race will be held some 2,000 miles away.

A Boilermaker shadow run will take place this year at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

Since 2008, five shadow runs have taken place, three in Iraq and two in Afghanistan.

A start/finish line banner, finisher's pins, running bibs and t-shirts will all be sent to Bagram.

The Boilermaker will be selling a limited number of t-shirts similar to the ones sent overseas.

For every shirt sold, $5 will be donated to Feed Our Vets.
