My son's friend from across the street, Aki, is on his way home from visiting his family in Bosnia. There is a reason why they cut their visit to the region short. Over the last few days, Bosnia has been hit by the worst flooding in over a century. Russian cargo planes and rescue boats took part in the relief effort after flood waters killed more than 20 people in neighboring Bosnia.

Reuters tells us that:

Tens of thousands of homes were without electricity in Serbia and around 150,000 in Bosnia, where whole swathes of the northeast of the country were under water.

Fortunately rescue teams and humanitarian aid has arrived preventing the death toll from rising. Fresh water, pumps and generators have arrived on the scene of the flooding disaster that will significantly impact both the Serbian and Bosnian economies.
