It's been awhile since we heard anything about the Disney Channel's 'Boy Meets World' spin-off/revival 'Girl Meets World,' and the show's as-yet-unshot pilot has yet to be ordered to series, but that hasn't curtailed fans' interest in the upcoming series. Now, new reports suggest that the sitcom has finally cast young Riley Matthews, daughter to Cory and Topanga Matthews, tapping 11-year-old actress Rowan Blanchard for the role! Get the latest on 'Girl Meets World's' big casting inside!

After a long, exhaustive search, the titular heroine of 'Boy Meets World' spin-off 'Girl Meets World' has at long last been found. Entertainment Weekly reports that young actress Rowan Blanchard ('Spy Kids: All the Time in World in 4D,''The Back-up Plan') has landed the coveted role of Riley Matthews, after a nation-wide search.

“As soon as Rowan walked into the room, I was reminded of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews,” says 'Boy Meets World' creator and 'Girl Meets World' producer Michael Jacobs. “Rowan is real and accessible and I am hopeful this girl is about to meet a world that will love growing up with her as well.”

Casting has yet to be announced for Riley's young Shawn Hunter-esque friend Maya, while original series stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are the only original cast members officially signed. A number of previous stars have expressed interest, though core cast member Rider Strong denied any official involvement with the project. The now-officially-ordered pilot shoots next month, for a likely Disney Channel 2013-14 placement.

Well, what say you? Will Rowan Blanchard's Riley Matthews prove as charming and likable in the lead role as her father? What do you hope to see when the Disney Channel premieres 'Girl Meets World'?
