There's usually some behind-the-scenes footage that accompanies an artist's magazine cover story. For Bruno Mars' first Rolling Stone cover, the creative director and artist decided to forego the usual chatter about hair, makeup, clothes and music in favor of a short (like 35 seconds) silent film inspired by the Andy Warhol Screen Tests from the 1960s.

The footage was shot on 16mm and Super 8, so it's grainy and looks like an Instagram setting come to life. You can't hear. You can only see and hopefully, you can cull some sort of information from Mars' body language, movement and eyes. Use the context clues, peeps.

The clips definitely presents itself like it is from another era.
