Buffalo holds its Turkey Trot race annually on Thanksgiving Day, a tradition that dates back to 1896 making it the longest continually held race in America - beating out the Boston Marathon by 5 months.

The race heads down Delaware Avenue in the Queen City and is a fundraiser for the YMCA.

Follow the hashtag #TurkeyTrot on Thanksgiving and you'll see plenty of chatter about similar races in Detroit, Dallas and Tampa among other places, but they're all runners-up to the Trot that started it all in Western New York.
