July 6, 2012 This morning we got a call from Dan O'Hara of the Great NY State Fair and he had some great news. He told us that more acts will be at the 2012 Great NY State Fair. Disney Channel actress and singer Bridgit Mendler, rock band Three Dog Night, “Jersey Boys" quartet Midtown Men, rock band Collective Soul and Food Network star Guy Fieri will be at the 2012 Fair.
Jennifer Lopez has announced a new batch of dates on her global Dance Again tour. She has added dates in Russia, Europe and the Middle East. With a trek booked through November, J. Lo is going big but she isn’t going home!
June 28, 2012 This morning we got a call from Dan O'Hara of the Great NY State Fair and he had some great news. He told us that two more acts will be in the 2012 Grandstand concert series. British pop group The Wanted and comedian and actor Larry the Cable Guy are coming to Central NY. Tickets for both shows will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 14.
A 19-year-old Memphis teenager has been arrested in the death of an Irish exchange student who was killed after attending a Nicki Minaj concert in Tokyo last month. ABC24 News reports that Richard Hinds has confessed to police that he did strangle 21-year-old Nicola Furlong in her hotel room on May 24, but he had no intention to kill her.
June 14, 2012 The New York State Fair has just announced that two more performers will be added to the lineup on Chevy Court, offering an array of shows that will appeal to a broad audience of Fairgoers. Two different acts will perform each day at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. And remember, all shows at Chevy Court are free with Fair admission.
June 13, 2012 The Outlaw Roadshow featuring The Counting Crows also features: Good Old War, Foreign Fields, and Filligar. They will be in Utica tonight, on stage at the Saranac Brewery on Court Street downtown. Most likely we'll hear a few tunes from their new CD 'Underwater Sunshine' (Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation).
