Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly says he has been diagnosed with cancer in his upper jaw bone and will have surgery on Friday. This story is near and dear to me. As you can see above, I have a picture of Jim on my desk, along with part of a Christmas party invitation he sent me. I've had the privilege of meeting Jim and members of his family several times and I hope this health scare goes away quickly.

The Buffalo Bills Preview – The Schedule Is Out

Recently the NFL released it's preseason schedule for the 2013 season and the Buffalo Bills. They will play against three of the same teams that they played during the 2012 preseason. They'll start out on the road against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts in Week One. It's the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2, the Washington Redskins in Week 3 and they'll wrap up the preseason at home against the Detroit Lions. Now, the regular season schedule is out.

I usually try to keep my posts on the bright side...but this story almost made me cry. It's a must watch. Jack Hoffman is the newest member of the Nebraska Cornhusker's football team and he's only seven! He's fighting brain-cancer and so, decked out in a number 22 jersey, Jack did indeed get in the game. He took a hand off and, took off! Jack ran 69 yards to the end zone while the crowd of more than 60,000 fans cheered him on and players followed him to lift him on their shoulders.

At a press conference in Buffalo on Monday it was officially announced that Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone will be the new Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills. Doug Marrone spent four seasons with the Syracuse Orange as their head coach and is noted for building their program back up from being one of the worst programs in a BCS conference. Some are calling him a future Bill Parcells.
