It was one of the few 80s movies left that hadn't been remade but now it looks like the inevitable will happen: the John Hughes classic 'Weird Science' will be rebooted at Universal with a R-rated take on the comedy. But you know what? We've actually got faith and we'll tell you why.
We're still two months away from the official start of summer, but we have our first "summer blockbuster"-type film opening this weekend, along with a smaller, darker crime picture with an absurdly good-looking cast.
This 'R.I.P.D.' trailer certainly seems to indicate that the supernatural buddy cop film is a lot like 'Men in Black' with a cranky Jeff Bridges standing in for a cranky Tommy Lee Jones and a wise-ass Ryan Reynolds filling in for a wise-ass Will Smith. Netflix might have dipped a toe into mature original content with the Kevin Spacey political thriller 'House of Cards,' but they're all in for Eli Roth's forthcoming horror series 'Hemlock Grove.' Debuting all 13 episodes this Friday, April 19, on the streaming service, 'Hemlock Grove' has issued one last trailer for the series, sexier and more horror-filled than anything we've seen thus far.
