Free Fishing Weekend in New York

If you're a fisherman or looking to drop your first time, mark your calendar, you can fish for free June 27th and 28th. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced New Yorkers and visitors can fish in any of the state’s 7,500 lakes and ponds and 50,000 miles of rivers and streams without a license. Saltwater anglers may also fish in marine waters for migratory marine fish species without enrolling in the Recreational Marine Fishing Registry.
