Cee Lo Green has finally spoken out after some alarming stories that have surfaced in regards to a sexual-assault case against him. The Grammy-winning singer is accused of allegedly drugging a woman with ecstasy and then raping her while she was unconscious.

In a statement, Green denied the allegations and believes that he will be vindicated in the case:

"Given that the matter is under investigation, we obviously cannot speak as freely as we'd like. What we can say is that these allegations are despicable, untrue, and deeply hurtful to CeeLo, his children, and his family. We are confident that when all the facts come out, it will be clear that if anyone was victimized here, it was CeeLo. In the meantime, CeeLo is deeply grateful for the overwhelming support he has received from his fans, his friends, and his colleagues."

As we previously reported, Los Angeles detectives are investigating a woman's claim that Green slipped her ecstasy in her drink while they were on a date at a local restaurant. The alleged victim doesn't remember much afterwards but the following day, she awoke naked in bed next to Green.

Reports recently surfaced that Green knew the alleged victim and was involved in a long-distance relationship with her. Allegedly, the woman also secretly recorded a conversation with Green in which he apologized for what happened and admitted using ecstasy but didn't specifically say he put it in her drink.

LAPD detectives are still investigating the case and will refer their findings to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office once the investigation is concluded.
