With the record high temperatures we've experienced over the past few days comes the threat of severe weather before the next system moves on late Saturday.  The National Weather Service is warning of possible strong, gusty winds and even hail for Saturday afternoon in Central New York.

The most severe weather is expected from Syracuse to the Capital District.  That area includes the Mohawk Valley and southern Adirondacks.  The NWS also warns of possible flooding to potential heavy rains.

Temperatures here in the upstate area have been far above normal over the past 4 days.  Record highs for February have been broken in many communities.
