A Wampsville man has admitted to killing a childhood friend while he was on a "crack-binge" last August.

Today, 32-year-old Kevin Farley was sentenced to 24 years to life in prison for the murder of 32-year-old Tiffany Meeks.  The woman was a childhood friend of the killer.

The Madison County District Attorney says Farley entered Meek's home in Oneida to steal money to support his crack cocaine habit.  When Meeks came home, Farley strangled her.  He then stole her car and ATM card and drove to Syracuse.

It was then when Farley ditched the murdered woman's car, and carjacked another woman at knifepoint in the parking lot of a Syracuse Price Chopper.  After buying drugs, the killer led police on a chase after being spotted downtown.  The woman who was carjacked is a Syracuse University grad and was not injured before police captured Farley.
