Spring is here and I'm excited about getting back on the golf course. Central New York has a plethora of beautiful courses. Here are a few of my favorites!

Shenandoah Golf Course at Turning Stone

This course opened back in 2000 and has been attracting novice and pro golfers alike ever since. If you like lush greenery and scenic surroundings, consider this challenging course in Verona. The staff is very attentive and helpful, and the course is in meticulous condition. Playing here will cost you over $100 but if you've got a little extra money saved up its well worth the hefty price tag!

Leatherstocking Golf Course

Golf Digest rated this awesome course 4.5 stars.  Many consider this course one of the most scenic and challenging courses on the east coast. The 17th hole is especially intriguing; if you want to reach the final hole you'll need to launch the ball over early 200 feet of water. The course is known for upholding high environmental standards. They're also committed to preserving wildlife. If you've never visited Cooperstown, here's an excellent reason to make the trip!

Seven Oaks Golf Club

This iconic course has been around since 1958. It features strategically placed water holes to create a challenging environment. When I played here, I went through 13 balls; probably because I stink, but it also may have something to do with the mastermind architects who built the course years ago! It's also one of the more affordable top rated courses in the area. Seven Oaks is located in beautiful and Historic Hamilton.

Crestwood Golf Club

I love this place! Not to mention, they're located right down the road from the radio station. Their motto is "experience Crestwood." playing here truly is a one of a kind special treat. Crestwood has exceptional customer service, top notch greens, and a sand trap that gets me every time. I broke my driver here a few years ago due to having really bad aim, but that hasn't stopped me from returning to one of my favorite places!

Timberbanks Golf Club and Marina

This scenic course is the only "Nicklaus designed" one in Central New York. If you want to have a world class day off golf, pay this place a visit. Its beautiful wooded scenery makes it nice to look at and the unique layout of the course will keep you coming back to play here again. If this club wasn’t an hour away from where I live, I'd be here just about every weekend!

I made a hole in one the other day at Dick's Sporting Goods. I was a little sleep deprived so I mentioned I was at the New Hartford Shopping Center. I was actually at Sangertown Mall. If you can endure the shaky camera, I think you'll be totally impressed with the magic I performed inside the store! (Just kidding.)
