Chittenango Native and X Games Medalist Dave Mirra Dead At Age 41

Dave Mirra of BMX and X Games Fame was found dead at the age of 41 on Thursday from an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head. This news was confirmed by Greenville Police. Mirra was born in Chittenango and won a medal in every X Games in which he competed, including 14 gold medals. The body of the pro biker was found in his truck after police reported to an apparent suicide. Keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
