Last week was Chuck Wollery's Birthday and I posted a video of his classic game shows Scrabble and Love Connection.

I got very reminiscent for the old game shows and started scouring YouTube.  All this week I'll give you a glimpse of the shows you just don't see anymore.

Today we're looking at the early 80s NBC Daytime offering, Sale of the Century.  The show's premise consisted of contestants buying extravagant prizes on the cheap, like a new car for $80.  Contentants answered trivia questions that earned them small amounts like $10 and $20.
I really like host Jim Perry's style.  He hosted Card Sharks as well and I like the way he rapidly moved through the questions and kept the game flowing.
