Motown - it was the record company founded by Berry Gordy Jr, responsible for an incredible string of hits in the 60's, that have inspired so much of the American music scene ever since. From the Temptations, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Supremes to the Jackson 5, the Four Tops and so many more, this is music that has stood the test of time.

While it all started in Detroit, even Central New York musicians today owe a great debt to the legends that started these soulful sounds. Broadway Utica is bringing Motown - The Musical to the Stanley on Wednesday and Thursday, January 11th and 12th to recreate a piece of this history. We got a chance to sit down with Greeley Ford of Classified to talk about what that sound means to him.

Don't just listen to the songs, FEEL THE MUSIC at the Stanley Theater for Motown - The Musical. Get tickets by calling 724-7196 or go to BroadwayUtica.com.
