More than 70 places across Central New York took the 'Red Pledge' and agreed to light up in red and encourage their employees to wear red on National Wear Red Day.

The amount of businesses, organizations, and landmarks in the area that went red to bring awareness to women's health, is just unbelievable. Each year more and more people agree to "Go Red." This year, many businesses and places sent in photos of their staff dressed in red and/or the buildings being lit up in red. We want to recognize those places for being a part of such a great cause. You can see the photos in the gallery below:

If you and your coworkers dressed in red for National Wear Day (last Friday), or if your place of work decorated in red or lit up in red for the cause, we would love to see your photos. You can send them in an email to: Naomi@Lite987.com, and they will be added to gallery. Be sure to include your name and the business/place in the photo.

Thank you to everyone who wore red on Friday to bring awareness to women's health, and all the businesses that took part in the 'Red Pledge' and glowed red on Friday night. And a big thank you to all the women and men who participated in Go Red events including the National Wear Red Day Luncheon, Broadway Utica and the Broadway Musical PIPPIN' who offered special deals to those who went red, the Utica Zoo for offering a special red tea event for National Wear Red Day, and all the other businesses and organizations that had special deals, discounts, and events going on for 'Go Red.'
