Cocker Spaniel Takes First Unassisted Steps in Over a Year Following Major Back Surgery [VIDEO]
You wouldn’t think there was anything remarkable about a video of a dog eating out of his dish but what if I told you this dog was taking his first steps and standing without assistance for the first time in over a year.
Charlie Brown is a special needs cocker spaniel who has been a resident at the phenomenal Spring Farm Cares animal shelter in Clinton, New York, since August of 2012. He was brought there after another shelter was unable to keep up with his care.
Charlie Brown came to Spring Farm unable to walk. He had severe disc problems and needed extensive surgery and rehabilitation. Today Charlie had a major breakthrough – he took his first steps without any help.
